The Royal Oak Watersports Centre is another fantastic addition to our wide range of centres. This exclusive centre is situated on the shores of Llangorse Lake and provides our groups with direct private access to the waterfront. The centre has magnificent views across the lake towards the peaks of the Brecon Beacons. The lake is a perfect location for our superb water sports programme which includes activities such as sailing, kayaking, dragon boating and raft building - so many opportunities to get wet! These are complemented by one of the widest ranges of dry land activities we have on offer, which takes place at our Tan Troed centre, only one mile away. Royal Oak is our first centre offering hard accommodation, which is provided in modern, purpose-built cabins. Children stay in cabins sleeping ten or twelve in two or four berth rooms; each
cabin has a small lounge area with the toilet and shower block situated close by. Teachers stay in cabins sleeping up to eight with their own en-suite facilities and lounge. Other facilities at Royal Oak include a canteen, shop, drying room, playing field, teacher's lounge, meeting/entertainment room ideal for evening activities, outdoor basketball court and large marquee which can be used in inclement weather. Our exclusive centre is located just west of Abergavenny. The surrounding area has a justifiably great reputation. The Brecon Beacons National Park is in a part of Wales that is renowned for its outstanding natural beauty and historical resonance. The beautiful hills of the Brecon Beacons provide a huge variety of walks.
